Toluca Lake Annual Pancake Breakfast Fire Station 86

16th Annual Toluca Lake Pancake Breakfast for Fire Station #86

More than 16 years ago Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce members Richard Bogy and Steve Hampar began a tradition that continues today – the annual Pancake Breakfast to support our local Fire Station #86, located at 4305 Vineland Ave Los Angeles. This Fire Station, while known as the Toluca Lake Fire Station, services Toluca Lake, part of North Hollywood and part of Studio City.

During the pandemic, this was an event that was not able to be put on.  This year was the first in many years and had an incredible turnout!   As a Chamber, the Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce decided last year to bring back committee’s to be able to team up more and have bigger results than years past.

Brian Veskosky, co-owner of Red Maple Café partnered with Tim Hawkins to spearhead this year’s event.  It was such a smashing success that the Battalion Chief Kristin Crowley, Deputy Chief Jason Hing, Captain Amy Eastman and Captain Cory Tallion were all in attendance.

The build up to this year’s event included a retired fire extinguisher placed at various businesses throughout Toluca Lake such as; The Strength Code, Red Maple Café, Patys, Bobs Big Boy and Foreman’s to raise funds.

Sparky the Fire Dog visited establishments throughout Toluc Lake as well.

So many businesses contributed items to be raffled off at the opportunity drawings and silent auctions. We had wonderful sponsors including; Logix Credit Union, a newer edition to our banking options in Toluca Lake.
